Since the age of five, Briana’s mother served in the U.S. Army serving as; a light-wheel vehicle mechanic, automated logistical specialist, and financial analyst while on active duty for 16 years.
Being the oldest of 6 children and growing up in a military household, Briana developed the determination to thrive as a leader and scholar. Education has always been a staple in her household and viewed as the key to a brighter future for not only her, but generations to follow. She is currently working towards attaining her graduate degree in Public Health at DePaul University, with aspirations of tackling social determinants that influence gun violence in Chicago and women’s reproductive health.
